Not directly. Blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat bags, but dark circles under the eyes have different causes: hyperpigmentation, thinning of the skin allowing blood vessels to show, or deep furrows (nasojugal sulcus). However, by eliminating the bags, dark circles under the eyes may look less pronounced. To treat dark under-eye circles specifically, complementary treatments such as laser, hyaluronic acid or chemical peels may be recommended.
