Recovery is a gradual process that requires commitment and patience. The stitches are removed after approximately 12 days and the first stage of convalescence concludes in about 15 days, when the patient can resume daily and work activities, except for strenuous physical activities. It is normal to experience swelling and discomfort in the first days, which progressively decrease. The use of compression garments is mandatory during the first month to minimize swelling and promote healing. The final results can be fully assessed after approximately one month.
