Gynecomastia is the abnormal enlargement of breast tissue in men, caused mainly by a hormonal imbalance between estrogen and testosterone. It may occur in one or both breasts and may be associated with hormonal changes, obesity, use of certain medications, steroid use, metabolic alterations or specific medical conditions.
